DISCOVER THE MAGIC OF BOMMA ATELIER

Discover the Magic of BOMMA Atelier.

A showroom-apartment decorated by Interior Designer Sophie Wannenes with the textiles of Métaphores.

The cubist Diamond House in downtown Prague conceals the BOMMA Atelier – a newly created hub for meetings of both professionals and aficionados with a passion for design, for the first time showcasing all BOMMA lighting collections in one space.

Its goal was to create a hub dedicated to interior design within this unique historic setting – a living space for inspiration, discussion and meetings among both professionals and the general public. Aside from meeting with partners and clients, BOMMA plans to organize various events and lectures, as well as recording BOMMA Design Talks podcasts covering interior design.

BOMMA, the Czech producer of crystal lighting, decided to use the historical apartment designed by architect Emil Králíček in 1912. This unique urban apartment combines original custom-built functionalist furniture with products that carry world-renowned leading brands of contemporary interior design as the home textiles of Métaphores, an editor and weaver belonging to Hermès’ textile division.

The decor was developed around the concept of contemporaneity, graphic patterns and bold colors all blended together creating a beautifully harmonious atmosphere. Each element was personally selected by Sophie Wannenes as the precious home textiles of Métaphores:

*Discobole, based on the famed statue of an athlete throwing the discus, this fabric gives the main sofa a sophisticated and vintage look.

*Spuma, this precious textile evoking the sea foam and made from a linen weft and a cotton warp, is used to dress the chairs of the living room.

*Dédale, inspired by day and night, this beautifully large architectural design with a subtle silky warp is used on curtains in the bedroom.

*Stadium and Prisme have been selected for their clear lines, graphic patterns and sunny hues to dress the curtains of the two main living rooms.
