This September, Métaphores dresses Hôtel de Soubise in majestic splendour

The “Allégories” exhibition will showcase two ensembles, one in the salon and one in the prince’s bedroom of this historic residence, which will be open to the public for Paris Design Week 2020.

Pierre Gonalons, who developed an interest in French heritage and art history very early on, has designed decorative scenes featuring new combinations that enter into compelling dialogue with the sumptuous eighteenth-century interiors.

As the exclusive textile collaborator, Métaphores provided a wide array of furnishing fabrics to upholster the Loggia lounge chair from the Pierre Gonalons collections as well as furniture from Paradisioterrestre—the historic editor of Italian design—where he is creative director.

This invitation is an opportunity to admire Pierre Gonalons’ contemporary take on this magnificent residence featuring dimensions from a bygone era.
