Drawing its inspiration from this effervescence, Métaphores has placed the emphasis on savoir-faire, demanding standards, highly technical weaving, exceptional finishes and the selection of high-quality natural materials in order to create collections which are, as always, timeless.

Métaphores is launching new fabrics inspired by movement, dance and music hall. Love Me Tender, as tender as a caress, hugs rounded shapes perfectly. Thanks to a real technical achievement: knitted in five-metre widths with its 100% merino wool. This finish gives it its exceptional properties: magnificent hang for curtains, ideal resistance for seats, unbeatable acoustic properties, undeformable, run-resistant, easy to use. Love me tender can also be worked right to the cut edge.

The Madeleine lampas is inspired by a drawing from our archives and brings to the collection a 19th-century flavour and an innovative mix of patterns. Running across the plain fabric are delicate ribbons composed alternately of lines of feathers or a subtle animal-skin pattern. The outstanding brightness of the colours is the result of a weaving technique which plays on the colours of warp yarn.

This velvet, with its 100% cotton pile of a remarkable height and density, offers an exceptionally sensual touch. The comfort of this iconic textile is matched only by its softness, both of which result from its intricate development process. Light brings frosted reflections to its colour surfaces with their pristine finish. A palette of pastel and tangy tones adds nuance to suble and sophisticated colours.
