GENIUS LOCI SECOND EDITION

Genius Loci is a series of immersive exhibitions setting up a dialogue involving architecture, design and contemporary art. Each edition focuses on a private residence of remarkable artistic character, revealing the spirit of a place through the works and special commissions of invited artists.

After Gio Ponti's villa L'ange Volant, Genius Loci Edition 2 is offering a first public viewing of Auguste Perret's parisian apartment, a Art Deco masterpiece of wood and concrete celebrated through the works and installations of invited artists. Among them, Emilie Paralatici, Image and Creative Director of Métaphores imagined the Latitude end table inspired by the furniture with hidden compartments designed by Auguste Perret in the 1930's. Evoking the markings on a sundial, Latitude symbolizes Perret's building, silent and motionless in the changing shadows of the day. Under the illuminated top, the facings are decorated with a graphic marquetry of leather and exceptional fabrics.

By its side, Auguste Perret's bed is dressed with Saint-Germain and Pepite Métaphores fabrics.
